That's one of the good things about crock pots; a little extra cooking doesn't 
usually destroy the taste.  <g<

I turned up the heat to high and cooked it for another 3.5 hours so a total of 
10 hours. If you try it, perhaps your results will be different. I used a 4 qt 
crockpot. But I think it will taste great, Marilyn.

I have cooked it today and it has been on for 9 hours, still not softened 
vegetables. I pushed the heat up to high about 2 hours ago. Just an fyi.
Taste is fine. Perhaps I should have put it on high when I added the vegetables 
5 hours ago.
