Cherry Almond Glazed Ham

1 jar (12 ounces) cherry preserves

1/4 cup vinegar

2 tablespoons corn syrup

1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1/3 cup slivered almonds

1 boneless fully cooked ham (3 to 4 pounds)

3 tablespoons water

In a saucepan, combine preserves, vinegar, corn syrup, cinnamon, cloves and
nutmeg; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 2 minutes, stirring
frequently. Stir in almonds; set aside. Place ham, cut side down, on a rack
in a shallow roasting pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 to 1 1/2 hours, or
until a meat thermometer reads 140 degrees and ham is heated through. About
15 minutes before the ham is done, spoon 1/4 to 1/3 cup glaze over ham. Stir
water into remaining glaze; heat through and serve with sliced ham.

Makes about 12 servings (1 1/2 cups glaze). Mama's Corner.
