Hi Bryan:

I built this on Luca Jovine's machine, which I think he told me is a 4- processor beast, so I wonder if there might be some
incompatibility issue due to that?

As long as everything resides in /usr/local/xtal/coot, it should be in the right place.

Anyone else have this problem?

If so, sorry.

summary : coot.ppc references libgmp.3.dylib, which _is_ in the tarball, symlinked to libgmp.3.4.3.dylib, which is claimed to be for an incompatible cpu-subtype at runtime. `file` on all those things claims they are Mach-O/ppc.

i have NOT followed every instruction on Bill's pages, only the one i listed, so perhaps this X11-related - i can't tell - any pointers appreciated.
