I built this on Luca Jovine's machine, which I think he told me is a 4-
processor beast, so I wonder if there might be some
incompatibility issue due to that?
As long as everything resides in /usr/local/xtal/coot, it should be in
the right place.
Anyone else have this problem?

i have NOT followed every instruction on Bill's pages, only the one
i listed, so perhaps this X11-related - i can't tell - any pointers
appreciated.
