Hi Bryan:

Now that I am a little bit more focused, I realize I have been bitten by this before. gmp built on a G5 won't run properly on a G4, so this might be something similar. I'm not really sure how to deal with this, except to build everything on a G4.

If someone already has that, could you email it to me please? I'll try to use libtool to edit the path.

summary : coot.ppc references libgmp.3.dylib, which _is_ in the tarball, symlinked to libgmp.3.4.3.dylib, which is claimed to be for an incompatible cpu-subtype at runtime. `file` on all those things claims they are Mach-O/ppc.

i have NOT followed every instruction on Bill's pages, only the one i listed, so perhaps this X11-related - i can't tell - any pointers appreciated.
