If I understand correctly you try to rebuild a stretch of DNA. Clearly
the error message indicates that you try to mutate the DNA to protein.
Or am I totally mistaken. Anyway, this does not make any sense to me.

Try reading  the manual. As far as I can see you can use "Simple
mutate" to mutata DNA sequences when they are named appropriately.
