When opening an mtz in coot using --auto, coot calculates the maps using FWT,PHWT and DELFWT,PHDELWT (aka sigma_a weighted 2Fo-Fc and Fo-Fc maps). Allowing for different grid point settings, this should be the same regardless of if coot or fft is calculating the map. Which columns are you telling fft to use? > At the same time, while I was trying to build 2Fo-Fc map (assuming simple > map is not 2Fo-Fc), there were several options I could choose from for each > F and PHI, or others, and I was not able to find clear answer from simple > googling.... any idea, or clarification? Thanks, I'd recommend reading the documentation for fft and refmac/phaser/whatever's calculating the FC/PHIC you want to use for your map. Pete
