Hi,We have the following system and have found that Coot (0.5.2 and 0.6) runs very slowly: -Dual Xeons @ 3 GHz -4 GB RAM -nVidia 256 MB Quadro FX 3450/4000 SDI - >250 GB hard drive space -Red Hat Enterprise Linux WS release 4 (Nahant Update 7) Rotating a 500 amino acid model is fine but when we open map (.mtz) with it the rotation drags as does walking along the chain. Increasing the Map Radius makes it worse, decreasing it makes it better. We have another system that is less powerful but runs smooth using the same model/map. Where should we start troubleshooting this? Thanks,Jon
Jon,do you use the NVidia proprietary driver? It is much better than the nv driver.
