Hi all,

I recently updated to Fedora 30 from F29.  Coot (and ccp4i and ccp4i2 etc.) were all working fine in F29, but after the upgrade, Coot fails to run with the following error:

$ coot
/home/share/ccp4/destination/ccp4-7.0/libexec/coot-bin: error while loading shared libraries: libcrypt.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I check the libraries via "coot --check-libs", and see (redacted)

libcrypt.so.1 => not found

When I check in /lib and /lib64 for libcrypt, I see that I have libcrypt.so and libcrypt.so.2, but if I follow up with

$ rpm -qif libcrypt.so.2

I see

... This version of the library does not provide the legacy API functions that have been provided by glibc's libcrypt.so.1.

I suspect there is a workaround, but I can't find somehting in the BB archive.  Any thoughts/suggestions most welcome.

Cheers,

Gerald
