Hi COOT users, A message for Mac users of COOT - On Friday, XQuartz began prompting users with an update to XQuartz 2.8.0_beta1. This update is not compatible with the COOT provided for macOS by CCP4 or CCPEM. You will see an error along these lines:
''' dyld: Library not loaded: /usr/X11/lib/libGL.1.dylib Referenced from: /programs/i386-mac/ccp4/7.1/ccp4-7.1/libexec/coot-bin Reason: Incompatible library version: coot-bin requires version 1.2.0 or later, but libGL.1.dylib provides version 1.0.0 ''' Skip the 2.8.0_beta1 update. If you have already updated your XQuartz, you can downgrade to XQuartz 2.7.11 and COOT should work again. Be sure to log out and log back in after XQuartz updates.
