Wow. Amazing it got as far as it did.

Building coot and (mainly) the prerequisites is non-trivial - especially on 
systems with half the operating system
missing. I suppose that you know that now though.

If you wish to pursue your own build, I have fixed up the source code for you, 
you can pick up new new file
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/pemsley/coot/refinement/src/c-interface-curlew.cc

(replace the version you have with this).
