I usually see this when switching between cpus, an optimisation for an 
instruction set not supported by the running cpu.   Mostly AVX 2 or SSE4(?) 
when running on older hardware, or across the AMD/Intel divide.

Unfortunately this means -mtune=generic rather than letting the libraries 
detect.    Not sure if libgmp supports functions for multiple architectures 
(another thing to check)

This looks like tangled libraries. Frustrating that we can't see more. I
will speak the the builder with stern words and make it clear that he
should turn on backward.

Did you untar the coot binary tar file into /usr/local?
