In OSX, you have to actually have to turn sandboxing on. You do that under the Capabilities section of your Target. If it is sandboxed, you do not have access to Library/Audio/Presets without specifying an entitlement. You can do that in the same section by checking Music Folder under File Access. Allowing reading and/or writing to the Music Folder not only gives you access to the Music Folder of the user, but also other music related folders such as Library/Audio/Presets.
If you try to read/write to Library/Audio/Presets and the folder doesn't exist, it will throw an error. This is the way it is for Mavericks. I don't believe they made any changes to this in Yosemite. -Lisa > Date: Fri, 7 Nov 2014 22:45:58 +0100 > From: [email protected] > To: [email protected] > Subject: Re: Logic x64, Yosemite & FSMakeFSRefUnicode > > Dear Hagen, > > > Aren’t the AudioUnits sandboxed now? > sorry I'm not well informed about OSX sandboxing and it's actual state > regarding Audio Units. > Has there been a change from Mavericks to Yosemite? > Does sandboxing mean that an AU doesn't have access to > /Library/Audio/Presets anymore? > > Cheers, > > Thomas > > > > > > https://developer.apple.com/library/mac/technotes/tn2312/_index.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/DTS40013335-CH1-TNTAG3 > > > > > > > >> >On 07 Nov 2014, at 21:29, Ian Kemmish<[email protected]> wrote: > >> > > >> > > >> >On 6 Nov 2014, at 21:09, Thomas Rehaag<[email protected]> wrote: > >> > > >>> >> > >>> >>In Logic Pro X and Logic Pro 9 x64 running in Yosemite > >>> >>FSMakeFSRefUnicode fails and returns -43. > >>> >>No problem in Logic/Mavericks.
