That’s why I was asking the other week about why creating an AUv3 app extension makes you write your AUAudioUnit subclass in Obj-C even if you’ve chosen Swift. My hypothesis was that this is for macOS, where the extension could be loaded into the host process rather than running in its own process, and the lack of ABI stability makes that impossible at this time. But I don’t know if that’s really the reason. > Is there a recording of your talk? I’d be curious to watch it. Forward Swift will be posting videos eventually. I need to re-record mine for them because I presented off an iPad rather than a Mac, so they couldn’t just turn on QuickTime screen recording to capture it.
