Hi All, I have searched and searched trying to find my gr. Grandmother’s parents and place of birth in Tyrone. My great grandmother was Mary Ann Burrows and she married William James Campbell in Belfast at the Ekenhead Presbyterian Church on 10 March 1888. Her marriage record states that her father is John Burrows and that she was born in Tyrone. The 1901 census has her living on Combermere St Belfast and again lists Tyrone as her birth place and age at 39 which brings her birth year to 1862. She is buried in Belfast Cemetery along with her husband and her sister on 21 Jan. 1926 age 62 putting her birth in 1864. My great aunt, Mary Ann’s sister was Elizabeth Burrows and she was married to Joseph Gass in Belfast in the church of Ireland on 16 Nov. 1874. It states also that her father is John Burrowes. Only on this record is Burrowes spelled this way with an es. She was 21 which brings her birth around 1853. In the 1901 census she is recorded an age of 40 which brings her birth year to 1861. She died in Belfast and is buried with William James Campbell and MaryAnn Campbell in Belfast City Cemetery. This record has her age as 49 which puts birth around 1857. Any help trying to figure out the two Burrows sisters births and parents would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Donna Campbell [email protected]
