Andy, O-ring red hyd. fluid. Break cap on bottom of piston Break fluid. Mineral oil was used with cow hide years ago and some o-rings. O-ring are made of different compounds. Don't go to the hardware story and get an o-ring from the plumbing Department. O-ring most of the time have a paint smear on them. That how they know how which is which. Yours Warren H.
