Thanks for pointing out that the use of the "brake cups" on the MLG (std
on
Sn 112 and before) instead of the standard "O" rings, (S/N 113 and later);
requires automotive type brake fluid.

On later, s/n  113 up coupes MLG; when the shafts become worn, many folks
utilize these earlier "Brake Cups"  to replace the leaking "O" rings. Then
use of the barke fluid is necessary for these conversions.

Is anyone familiar with this conversion aware of "brake cups" that are
compatible with hydraulic oils ? I would think they are available; also
they
may be compatible with the new silicone fluids. ????
