David, Well we did have 6000' with a 1.3% up hill take off as a primary. Then again somedays it was a 1.3 down hill run. But the runway was 6874' not the 5000' reported last night. Thinking back the Ercoupe was a bit long on the ground run even on cool days. Hot day, were for morning and late evening flying. Last month at Big Bear, Ca. 5644F left the runway very well but wanted to hang at about 300' over the lake. Was very uncomforting. Maybe that would have been a good time to lean at static. Big Bear is 6748' was alone with a little less than 1/2 tanks. But I put it off as being caused by the cruise prop. Also had the Generator switch on now that I'm thinking about it. Thanks, Warren
