Larry, on my 47 Eroupe, if I fill the header tank to the top, it will
spill fuel out of the hole around the wire, no matter how long I fly.
When I first purchased it and flew it home from the FBO (it came with a
fresh and extensive annual), I started getting worried that I might run
out of fuel. It seemed like a constant stream of fuel coming out and
flowing across the windscreen. If I just leave the header tank alone,
and only fill the wing tanks, I have no problem with fuel coming out the
cap. The fuel fills the header perfectly and no spillage.
