The type certificate spells out an instrument panel required statement or two. I've never heard of any plane like ours having any required EXTERNAL decals.
The FAA requires a data plate near the tail with the serial number on all planes. Sorry I can't remember the details. Illinois requires a tax-paid/registration sticker ($10 fortunately).
