decals must go at all fuel tank fillers given volume and octane
rating of av. gas
this can be found in your p.o.h.. also if you have an S.T.C. for auto
fuel,
there must be a decal at the tank fillers also, giving the octane rating
of
auto fuel. This can be
found in the S.T.C.. also. there is another decal or metal plate used
for
identification
of the aircraft that should be mounted on the fuselage most are near the
horizontal
stabilizer on the left side. the information should be the aircraft S/N,
manufacturer
and model # also date of manufacture on most plates that i have seen,
this
one
is an FAA regulation and it should be on the aircraft for the annual
inspection.
I find a few aircraft every year where this plate/decal is missing,or
has
not been
installed when I perform annual inspections. You can put on any
sign/decal
that you wish as long it doe's not interfer with visibility in/or out the
wind screen
or any side windows that the pilot may use during any operation of the
aircraft,
and they cannot interfer with any registration markings (the N#)
