My Coupe does not have any bracket attached to the gascolator. I know
this
for
a fact, as we've removed it lately. Funny thing, the top of the
gascolator
has
a crack on top, running parallel to the inlet fitting, directly on top.
Crack
is approx 1/4 inch long. When we reinstalled it, we hadn't noticed it.
When
we turned on the fuel, it leaked like crazy. That's when we noticed it.
I
purchased a used top section from Surprise Aviation, and will be
installing
it
shortly. But, I would like to comply with the AD, and install the
bracket.
Anyone have any drawings of it, or is it available for purchase? I have
no
doubt that the lack of support is what lead to the crack up there.
