How hot? (How many degrees hotter than ambient?)

Are there any cooling mods called out in the STC? (if applicable)

Have you verified the accuracy of the gauge?

Are you running the O-200 oil tank with at least 5 quarts?

Is the plenum under the engine that blows on the tank in good shape?

Last resort: One good way to lower the oil temp on these small
Continentals
is to put a blast tube that blows on the oil screen housing. And no, it
doesn't just cool the gauge sensor (commonly offered old wive's tale). It
cools the oil that the gauge sits in, which is all the oil, as the screen
is
full flow.
