Bill:
I'd guess a blast tube on the oil filter would be good for about 20
degrees.
Properly configured, you should see about 100 degrees above ambient. Make
sure your O200 has any cooling additions specified for the C90 (unless the
plane was built with C90 or O200 originally.

Thanks for all your replies. Keep thinking on this one.
It shouldn't be blow by as the differential pressures are good and the
engine has very few hours since overhaul.
I have put new baffle seal on it and sealed any hole that I can find in
and
around the baffles with silicone.
It does have the baffle in the front of the oil tank.
I have not changed the gauge but I am assuming it is reasonably accurate
because as the temp goes up the pressure goes down.
Does anyone have any info on the oil filter mod? Any idea how much of a
drop
in Temp I might get.
Thanks again for your help.
John If this only made it to you could you pass it on to the site.
Thanks
Bill

In my experience this is only true in the case of annealed rings. When
that
happens, it'll actually scorch the paint on the cylinder. But the most
commom cause I've seen is bad baffling.
