Someone has used rather ordinary clear plastic 1/4" tubing (like fish-tank

tubing,
only bigger) for static lines on my coupe.

Legalities aside, is this material unsuitable? I'm thinking that it's 
rather flexible
stuff and that it might therefore flex and give a bit under pressure, and 
so might
introduce some 'boing boing' in the instruments.

It's wonderfully flexible, of course, and not subject to kinking, but is
it 
too
soft for the purpose?
