Hello all, My '46 415C's nose wheel leans slightly to the pilots side when viewed from the front. When I rock the wheel to check the bearing, it rattles a good bit. I replaced the bearing and it seems to have a good snug fit to the axle and the wheel, but as soon as the star washer and spanner nut are put back on, it is loose again. It is a single fork nose wheel.
It shimmies at about 50 mph and the tire seems to be wearing fairly quickly on the left side. It also pulls to the right pretty strongly. Does anyone have any recommendations for a fix? The axle doesn't seem to have any wear on it like it has been slipping. Also, I read an email recently about correct rigging to make sure all the control surfaces are aligned properly. Where can I find the procedure for checking alignment? Is it just an eyeball thing, or is there a document to help me out? Thanks, Brian Schober N99238 ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com --------------------------------- to unsubscribe send mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] ___________________________________________________________ T O P I C A The Email You Want. http://www.topica.com/t/16 Newsletters, Tips and Discussions on Your Favorite Topics
