Hi all, Enjoyed meeting fellow coupers at College Park. I have a few questions in regard to my new old bird. 1---The po (previous owner) replaced the side windows with an obviously inadequate plexiglass. Both sides have split all the way across. I am planning to replace with Lexan. I need to know the correct dimensions- width and thickness- as I obviously cannot assume the dimensions of the current part are any were near correct. I have the 3 piece window which I think is nice. Will sunscreen the center section which will be basicly essential here in SC. 2---The nav/com is inoperable. What are good options for an inexpensive com with intercom? any inexpensive nav/coms. mostly use a handheld GPS, but a VOR would be a nice backup. 3---I took my brother up and he is hooked. Any CFI's in SC that will instruct in an Ercoupe, at least for part of the training. His son has had a serious injury, so money is very limited and if he could take some lessions in my plane so it is not costing much it would provide a much needed diversion.
