----[Please read http://ercoupers.com/disclaimer.htm before following any advice in this forum.]---- Vince, You should make sure that either (A) your A&P is incorrect or (B) your airplane is incorrect. The positive wire off the battery should not go any further forward of the battery before going through the master switch. This is done so that in the event of a short, off field landing, or header tank rupture that ALL the power can be cut from the panel and keep it a safe distance from the problem. Andy Pomeroy
