To seal my tanks against potential leaks I went to the local auto store and they sold me a complete kit. It consisted of a clearner, an anti-rust prep wash, the sealer itself, and a bottle of fuel stabilizer. This was not cheap, about $135 CAD or $85 USD. They said it was the best thing they had seen and everyone who used it said it was great. It says on the can it is absolutely unaffected by all types of fuel and is a permanent sealer. It is called U.S. Standard fuel tank sealer, and is made by POR 15 Inc. It looks like silver paint. I used a plastic funnel to pour it into the tank. The next day it had dried so hard and tough that I could barely scratch it with a screwdriver. The stuff is bullet proof, and the can does say seals all fuels permanently. I took out the fuel outlets and used masking tape over the finger filters and screwed them back in so the threads wouldn't get plugged. I also found a loose rivet under the banjo fitting on the tank that I popped out with my finger nail. This is the sort of thing you may need to look for. Hope this helps Jon Page 415-C #2675 --------------------------------- to unsubscribe send mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] ____________________________________________________________ T O P I C A -- Learn More.
