Syd you are right.
What I meant was that one could easily convert a C/D to a D if desired.
The moodel and the Type certificate did allow so. It also is mentioned
in the Ercoupe Information letter #1 from 1956!?.

However I think ERCO realized they could not market the 415-D as they
thought so they came up with the C/D which was initially registered
under TC 718 with the potential to be brought up higher in Gross weight.
