$288.30 is the MAP, or minimum advertised price. That's what DC fixes as the lowest price a vendor can advertise or be threatened with cut-off of supply. Who said 'restraint of trade' and 'price-fixing' was illegal!?! Supposedly it's to 'protect' the FBO from too much mail-order competition. Pah!
That price is too high. You can buy it cheaper from Marv Golden. www.marvgolden.com. They treated me right. Sold it to me for less, threw in a pretty decent headset case, and charged way less for shipping than other vendors. All in all, I came out $40-$50 lower than Sporty's. The H10-13.4 is nice. But get the stereo version. Not that you'll use stereo, but it sure is nice to have a volume control on each ear.
