I was curious why my Coupe always had head-winds on both directions of an out-and-back. I had to fly my approaches at the same speeds as yours. Then, I tested my air-speed indicator with a stop-watch over ground references and did careful calculations to find out the air-speed indicator was WAY off! The new TSO'ed air-speed indicator agrees pretty nicely with my GPS. Just after installing it, I did stopwatch testing and found I was getting very accurate 100 mph cruise indications with the new instrument (<.66 mph error at 100 mph indicated). The drop in _indicated_ minimum-flying speed was from 65 mph to 50 mph. -- Ed Burkhead East Peoria, Ill. N3802H, 415-D
