Greetings: I have been playing with my new(to me) 1946 Ercoupe 415-C. On the flight from Merritt Island, FL to Thomasville, GA I had to cycle the right tank fuel valve on and off to top off the header tank. If I left it on, then when the coat hangar reached the top of the gauge, a slight mist of fuel would be released from the header tank. I talked to a mechanic friend of mine who didn't think this was all that unusual for Ercoupes. The Ercoupe check pilot didn't think this was unusual. Another Ercoupe pilot told me I needed to install a restrictor on the fuel pump because the pump is pumping at too high a rate. Anybody have a 'feature' like this? Anybody know of a restrictor for the fuel pump? Any suggestions on deactivating this 'feature'???
Thanks, REW ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
