Rob, you can buy replacement brake pucks direct through Goodyear. They
carry the same number as in the Univair catalog except that they now
have a "-2" at the end. I called Univair and they gave me the number
for the regional Goodyear dealer in their area. The salesman at
Goodyear put the number in the computer and had me four pucks in 15
seconds. They came from a warehouse in Texas. Price was $37.35 each.
Considering that I was paying list price for them, I did not think that
I was doing too bad. It turns out that my problem was in the master
cylinder, so I still have a complete set of four new pucks. And it is a
little tough finding used Clevelands for the Ercoupe. I found a set
that came off a Coupe that crashed this spring 15 miles from the
airport. They cost me $500 after having everything checked for cracks.
I will be installing them at my next annual in the spring.
