I have the most current Continental overhaul manual and it states the following: C-75, C-85, C-90 & 0-200 all have the same maximum oil temperature of 225F, and the cylinder head temperature for the C-85 is 540F. The oil pressure is 30 - 60 in cruising flight (psi) and the idling pressure is 10 psi....no lower. I guess the Ercoupe manual was more conservative than Continental is today!
However I would be making it for the field if it didn't stabilize before 220 degrees,say nothing of 225. Today at 84 OAT it went up to and stayed at 195 degrees in 30 minutes. Earl in NY 93826
