Like to thank every one on my posting about speed of the coupe.

Here is what I've done.

David and Carolyn gave some great tips on trim and speed settings.
This was a big help.

Jim Austin helped me set the trim tab at the Pickens fly-in, this
Sunday. He also noticed that my Loran is in Knots, I had been
told by the pervious owner that it was MPH. This corrected a
lot of my miss information.

Harry, Al, and Kim were a big help on the riggings. I found that
the right rudder was set about 1.50 inches out of rig. "Those
gosh darn rudder pedals again." Looked okay
just to eyeball, but a tape and straight edge showed the problem.
I made all the adjustments I could without taking out the inside
and getting to the rudder pedal conversions. Will do that this
weekend. The nose gear was out and I used up all the adjustments
and am still about one turn out. Will need to go under the floor
boards to get the final adjustment.

Well with all this said and done. I hit 100 indicated tonight!
This was in smooth level flight and backed up with my new
understanding of my Loran. Great job group.

So thanks to all again. You all did good.

Also thanks to Tom for starting the list. Would never have
all these resources with out it.

One other point. I think I listed the problem with the hard
left pull on the take off roll. Still had it after the corrections
to the rigging. I did correct it with a new wheel bearing. Not
the factory Ercoupe version. Just one I had in my shop. Will need
to get the factory versions unless some one knows of a number I can
use for the auto parts stores, anyone?

Thanks again. Keep those cards and letters coming.

Jack
