Just opening the windows on the Ercoupe (it is certified either way) changes air speed indication. Static/Ram pressure ratio is what is measured, and the static source is the cockpit! I had thought my `coupe was a 90 MPH airplane. Then I got into the Willamette Valley after flying it up from New Mexico, and I got more speed with less RPM! Yes, the climb prop could be holding speed down. Yes, props are "repitched" without changing the imprinted numbers. Lotsa luck Percy
