Coupers

        I get the impression that I am the only one that lands with the
engine at
idle. I pull the carb heat on and reduce throttle to idle in the base leg,
slow it down to 80 on final and start to flare when I'm getting ground
effect and am approaching the numbers. I do get rapid decent in my 415-D
at
80 and at idle but so what, that's the way I learned to fly. I only use
the
throttle on final to periodically clear the engine or if I am coming in
too
low.
        Doesn't anyone else do it that way?
