Bob, I agree whole heartly with your comments on proper landing technique. slow and careful, landing on the mains, etc.
What I was trying to convey was that the coupe was designed to allow fast landings IF NECESSARY - safely. The on ground position tail high , of nearly no positive angle of attack - dumping all lift naturally, asures the airplane won't balloon of fly again. I make every effort to NEVER use the brakes, as a proper approach and after landing roll on modern airports don't require use of the brakes for most opporations. I like to save mine for the really short fields, etc, and only then if I screw up. But, it reamins, the coupe is a unique airplane, can be landed too fast and still save the pilots reputation.
