This year's EOC fly-in is at Jacksonville, Illinois.  This week.  June
4-7.  Registration for Pilot is $25, co-pilot $15.

There's housing at:
Holiday inn:    800-445-1659    $54+tax
Amerihost:      800-434-5800    $56+tax
Motel 6:        800-4MOTEL6     $30+tax
Super 8         800-800-8000    $49+tax
College dorm    217-245-3023    $25/room (rooms have 2 or 3 beds each)
                        or      $15/room (if you bring your own linen
Poker-run and such stuff Saturday.
Non-flying events:
Thursday        Tour of New Salem Illinois, New Salem is a 19th century
community representing lifestyles of the 1830s.  It has a store once
owned by Abe Lincoln.
Thursday evening:  Picnic-style dinner at airport.

Friday:  Bus trip to Springfield to see Abe Lincoln's home and tomb.
Friday evening:  Dinner on the field; Italian night:  Mostecholli,
salad, etc.

Saturday:  some forums, etc.
Banquet Saturday:  Holiday Inn.  The menu was chosen for scalability so
we can adjust to the number of people present.  $14 each.

I've been a member for 19 years.  I never hesitate to send in my dues. 
I usually read the Coupe Capers the day it arrives.  Some years it's
better, some years not so.  I was even editor for 3.5 years from '91 to
'94.

You will not only be welcomed, you will be welcomed graciously.  I would
be surprised if you don't leave with attachments to at least three
permanent friends.  Look me up.  If you feel it worthwhile, we would
encourage you to join the club.  But no matter what, if the weather is
good enough, and you can get off the time, please come.  (This event was
designed with many of our lowly budgets in mind.)
