Hello again Coupe List
I have been listening to the discussion on water in tanks with
interest, to the point where I must ask if this is a common problem
specific to Ercoupes. I realize that we must be alert as to getting
water into the fuel system of any airplane, but is this a common problem
with the Ercoupe? I am a Coupe newbie and need to get to know this
airplane.
It was mentioned that one should siphon the tanks once in a while
to make certain that water has not accumulated. Should this be a yearly
practice? Is it necessary if your Coupe is hangared, as is the one that
I fly? The only sources of water therefore are condensation, and
contamination from the fuel supplier. Your thoughts on this would be
appreciated, as I plan to wake up 93966 from hybernation soon!
