Our Stromberg leaks; we just turn the fuel off after each flight.

I have had no problems with my Stromberg and in fact really like it, for
one thing it never has iced up and I almost never use carb heat. Never had
the leaking problem you guys describe and don't really know anyone who
has.  

As for wiring the mixture full rich there is no need to lean it out below
5,000 per the book and quite frankly I find it to be quite effective above
7-8000 and a real necessity up around or above 10,000. Nice on a long high
X-country can pick up an extra 1 gph without much problem or in other
words
an extra hour aloft if you have decent seats, believe me bucket seats are
a
great investment, the old bench is not fit for man or beast
