My AP/IA was installing a new backing plate on a Piper Warrior today. The new backing plane cost HIM $750.00. I can only assume he can rightfully mark that price up to cover some of his expenses. Flying is getting like Government. It has grown so expensive the people who support it, can no longer afford it!
