I am a new couper, having just purchased a 415c Ser# 1234 project.  I no doubt will have lots of questions as I begin/finish the rebuild but one right now concerns the fairing at the wing root.  When it comes time to reattach them after the tanks are reinstalled do they have to be rivited? If so can Cherry rivets be used?  Seems to be stainless screws would be fine but just curious. Looking forward to long relationship with you other coupers

Lance,
There are two fairings.  The front ones are screwed on, and rightly so.  They must be removed every annual to inspect.  I have
mine off now as I am getting "tanked."  The left one was leaking and I'm resealing.
Please get in touch.  I live in "Baja Clark County," aka Hayden Island/Jantzen Beach.  My `coupe is at Evergreen.
