I have *never* encountered a pitchdown in a coupe.  However, I have 
certainly observed that the sink rate increases dramatically in what would

be the stall region in other airplanes, as I'm sure most of the members of

this list have.  All in all, the 'coupe is the subject of more ignorant 
blather than any other aircraft of my acquaintance.  All this journalistic

malarkey does have a bright side, though.  Outside of the fellowship of
its 
loyal supporters, the 'coupe is not well regarded, and this keeps the
price 
low.  Imagine where we'd be if the 'coupe achieved real cult status like 
the J-3 Cub, which can go for as much as $30K.
