You're pretty safe then. Unless the switch fails or one of the p-leads
fails 
while it's sitting.  (It could happen.)  Many of us shut the fuel off and
let 
it die.  I always do a low speed mag check while I'm waiting just to see
if 
they're still working.  Others, with the Marvel carb may use the idle cut
off 
to kill it and wouldn't know.  I've never had one fail sitting (Knock on 
wooden head) but twice I've had it fail while in flight and been unable to

shut down to refuel (when I didn't plan on shutting the fuel off.)  It's
just 
too dangerous to take a chance.
