David, Thanks for the photo and sketch. That looks good enough to be a factory installation and design.
I've seen some designs that attach to frame F. One design I've liked riveted a big 6-8" plate to the skin just aft of frame F with the pull being linear along the skin and plate -- that looked very strong. Your installation, connecting to both frame F & G should surely add extra strength over the frame F only installations. I've been logically partial to the 'linear pull along a flat plate' method. The worst feature of that or yours is: what happens if the tail cone separates? John Wright, Sr., favors an installation where the anchor point is the rear of the steel member that forms the window sill. With that, the pull is diagonal with a side vector, but since one's shoulder is against the side wall anyway, I wouldn't expect any bodily damage from that. And there's no issue with the tail cone separation. But I can't use John's method with my original, sloped hat shelf. It looks like, with your design, parts cost would be minimal except for the harness and inertial reel. Could I ask how much the physical fabrication and installation of the parts cost (not including the designated engineering representatives bill)?
