In my opinion, the best way to soundproof a Coupe is to get a good pair of noise cancelling headsets. I tried a friend's Lightspeed ANR (Active Noise Reduction) headsets the other day and the difference between those and my old David Clark headsets was amazing. I'm saving my pennies for new headsets!
BTW, one concern that I had about the ANR headsets was whether or not you could still hear the engine running and hear changes in its sound. I found that I could still hear the engine OK, but it was at a much lower noise level than with the old headsets.
