A few years ago, one of our coupers crashed because of a broken trim
cable.
During the NTSB investigation I was asked by the NTSB if they could
inspect
my trim system to see how it was supposed to work. Of course I had the
two
centering springs installed and they came away with some good information.

The two inspectors work in the same federal building as the FAA but on
different floors.
I am an FAA Aviation safety counselor here at DuPage and feeling quite
smug,
asked the two guys if they would mind looking over the coupe for anything

they would deem unsafe. Anyway, they could find no problems so I lucked
out
on that one.
But, I vowed never to do that again WHEW!!!
