Paul, the general concenses is that you might as well plan to take the
tank
out in order to get it repaired.  You may have to purchase a new one.
John
Wright Jr builds new ones for Alons, but I think you might be able to buy
originals from Univair for the Ercoupe.  This is a common problem.  Many
people have sloshed the tank with a solution to stop the leak, but over
time
the sloshing material comes loose and can foul the fuel line and carb.
