----[Please read http://ercoupers.com/disclaimer.htm before following any advice in this forum.]---- I don't know if it was mentioned on the list, but in at least one case, involving the crash of an RV in Lafayette Oregon, the FAA checked the archives of one of these Internet lists and used the information in its report. They were looking to stick it to the dead pilot but luckily he had kept his mouth shut in his 288 (!) Emails regarding his project. The case regarded a pilot who crashed after an engine failure and whether or not he had changed things since an overhaul by a shop. This was on an experimental but the Feds still went to all that trouble! I didn't care much for them doing that but then again these are public forums. Anyhow, I have tried to cut back but it doesn't seem to work. :-) Glen Ward
